Hans Grischkat (* 29. August 1903; † 1977) war ein deutscher Dirigent, Chorleiter, Kirchenmusiker und Stuttgarter Hochschullehrer.
Hans Grischkat studierte an der Universität Tübingen zunächst Naturwissenschaften, später Musikwissenschaft. An der Musikhochschule Stuttgart erhielt er Unterricht bei Hermann Keller.
Grischkat war früh schon in der Singbewegung engagiert. Er gründete 1924 den Reutlinger Singkreis, 1931 dann den Schwäbischen Singkreis und 1936 den Grischkat-Singkreis in Stuttgart. Nach 1945 rief er das Schwäbische Symphonie-Orchester Reutlingen ins Leben, ein Orchester, das heute als Württembergische Philharmonie bekannt ist. Er war bis 1950 erster Dirigent dieses Klangkörpers.
Hans Grischkat führte 1926 erstmals in Württemberg die Johannespassion von Johann Sebastian Bach ohne Kürzungen und mit sämtlichen alten Instrumenten auf. Es folgte 1935 eine Aufführung der Matthäuspassion von Bach in einer originalgetreuen Interpretation, die fortan das Verständnis der Bachinterpretation im süddeutschen Raum bestimmte.
Grischkat wirkte als Musiker sowohl an der Christuskirche in Reutlingen als auch an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. Er war unter anderem Lehrer von Helmuth Rilling.
Als Musikwissenschaftler und Publizist betreute er die Reihe Die Kantate, die im Stuttgarter Hänssler-Verlag in vielen Einzelbänden erschien und vorwiegend kirchenmusikalisches Aufführungs- und Notenmaterial in guter Qualität darbot.

The Bach Choir Stuttgart (= SBC&O; other names: Stuttgarter Bach-Chor und Orchester, Bachchor und Bachorchester, Stuttgart Bachchor und Bach-Orchester Stuttgart, Stuttgart Bach Choir & Orchestra, Stuttgarter Chor und Orchester, L'ensemble vocal et instrumental de Stuttgart) consists of singers of the Stuttgart region, who feel especially connected to the vocal music of J.S. Bach. Apart from a-cappella-music for service and concert the ensemble dedicates itself to a broadly varied repertoire of the classical oratorio literature and few admitted to works of 18th and 19th centuries. The concert programmes of the ensemble also include music of our time. In the press operational readiness level and sound of this choir are emphasised again and again. In the summer 2001 the Bach Choir Stuttgart made guest appearances in Prague and Brünn, in March 2002 the ensemble led a small-scale performance of Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) by J.S. Bach. In July 2004 the ensemble was invited to perform in the City Church of Vienna at the Festival "Europäische Kirchenmusik Schwäbisch Gmünd" the premiere of a new work by Adriana Hölszky. For autumn this year (2004) stands a concert tour to England with a-cappella-works of the Bach family on the programme. For December this year (2004) is a CD production with Camille Saint-Saëns' Oratorio de Noel is planned.
As instrumental ensemble which stand at the disposal of the Bach Choir Stuttgart is the Bach Orchestra Stuttgart. The largest part of this ensemble consists of the members of the SWR-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart.
Claire Fassbender-Luz

The German soprano, Claire Fassbender(-Luz), had her first musical training in Cologne, Germany. After that, she studied singing at the Italian Belcanto School in Milan, Italy with Professor Luigi Scolari. She studied dramatic coloratura, opera and oratories.
As a professional singer, Claire Fassbender(-Luz) had engagements in Stuttgart, Munich, Saarbrücken, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Mainz, Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Hilversum, Paris, Strassbourg, Hamburg, Heidelberg, and Tübingen. Her great success was with Mozart concert arias, as well as with Beethoven 9th Symphony. She also had guest performances as Queen of the Night in Zauberflöte. In addition she appeared in Lieder recitals and performances on the radio. In the early 60's she also performed at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. In 1951-1952 she recorded in Stuttgart several Bach Cantatas together with Bach-Orchester Stuttgart and the conductor Hans Grischkat. These recordings were made for the American market.
